With the Olympic Games in Tokyo fast approaching, there remains only three spots vacant in the Women's qualification.
Currently seven nations have secured their invitation to the grandest of all tournaments, Japan, USA, Spain, Canada, Australia, Russia, South Africa (TBC).
For the fist time in history, this years Olympics will host up to ten women's teams, hence leaving only three spots available.
One would think that China will be hot favourites to win the Asian qualification event (TBC), this then leaves two tickets up for grabs at the Women's World Qualification tournament, to be host in Trieste, Italy.
The heat is on nations like :
Italy - won gold in 2004 and silver 2016,
Greece - won silver 2004 but failed to qualify '12, '16.
Hungary - have competed at the last four Olympics finishing fourth '08, '12, '16
Netherlands - won gold 2008 and failed to qualify '12, '16.
Throw nations like Germany, Brazil, Kazakhstan and New Zealand in the mix, each having every ability to throw a spanner in the works.
The reality is that two of the powerhouse nations will miss Tokyo !........Trieste will be see a magnificent event, full of passion, emotion and fights till the death !
